The generous folks of OctobersVeryOwn saw how much buzz this track was getting and decided to drop the FINAL mastered CDQ for the track with a line-up of heavy-weights that’re just unmatched in hip hop right now in terms of popularity. I know Morph will appreciate this, as he’s been bumping it non stop since it dropped.

Video: Raekwon on East/West Beef

When the West Coast/East Coast beef manifest its self at The Source Awards, two fractions on the East Coast were warring as well. Although, mere words ignited the beef, violence almost played a part in fatally ending it between Wu-Tang and Biggie Small and his Brooklyn goons.

Raekwon opens up to reveal that he constructed a fake cast to wear to The Source Awards to avoid detection from from a gun that would be secretly hidden in his surgically wrapped hand.

After contemplating his intended actions, the Chef had a change of heart and attend the award show unarmed. Years later the iconic rapper & Wu-Tang front man squashed the beef before Biggie was actually gunned down on the West Coast.

… Rosie Perez!

B-List actresses be warned and flattered because FELT is back! Slug (Atmosphere) and Murs (Living Legends) reunite for their third release from moniker FELT. These MCs teamed up with The Grouch (Living Legends) in 2002 to release FELT’s debut album A Tribute to Christina Ricci. Collaborating with producer Ant (Atmosphere) in 2005 resulted in their second coming A Tribute to Lisa Bonet. With the fresh addition of Aesop Rock (Def Jux) on production and unwavering love for those forgotten actresses who warmed their hearts, Slug and Murs are pleased to present FELT 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez dropping 11.17.09 on Rhymesayers Entertainment.

The Path (Ft. Kobe) (Prod. DJ Khalil) – Chace Infinite

I decided to attack the beat Khalil did for 50 Cent feat. Akon I Still Kill. In classic Self Scientific fashion…instead of talking about the desire to kill someone, I talk about life and my attempts to understand the path Allah has laid. I used the ORIGINAL hook with the homie Kobe. You can tell Akon used the same melody and slightly re-wrote the words. You would have never heard it on the radio but, this is what it what have sounded like, as a Self Scientific song. Off the upcoming mixtap – I WOULD HAVE KILLED THIS – dropping next month.
