The Badlands (Ft. Ghostface Killah) x Walk Wit Me (Prod. Scram Jones) – Raekwon

The Chef Raekwon checks into the On-air Idiot Show and talks about the Only Build For Cuban Llinx 2 album hitting stores Tuesday, his album release party hosted by Diddy, and how he is sick of being asked about the Joe Budden situation.

Another album that after a couple of listens that is another one that I might be deeming classic is Raekwon’s OB4CL 2. Do yourself a favor, on Tuesday, be sure to pick it up. Until then you can grab two bonus tracks, one from the UK version and the other from iTunes, and add them to the library.

Video: Raekwon Interview w/ FSL

I had no idea what to expect from a sit-down with Raekwon – But what I found was someone ridiculously calm, deeply introspective and ready to talk. We talked about his long-awaited album Only Built For Cuban Linx II, his longtime collaborator Ghostface and we cleared the air over that pesky Joe Budden situation. (Ed. Note We left the Budden portion in its entirety as to not take anything out of context)

During his visit to Chicago last week, we spoke with The Chef inside the RH Kitchen. Raekwon provided us one of our best interviews, as he spoke on the natural progression of OB4CL II, reminding himself that OB4CL could not be topped, clarifies the Joe Budden/Slaughterhouse interview, and doesn’t want to leave dubbing our own DJ RTC “Baby Howard Cosell.”

Video: Raekwon on East/West Beef

When the West Coast/East Coast beef manifest its self at The Source Awards, two fractions on the East Coast were warring as well. Although, mere words ignited the beef, violence almost played a part in fatally ending it between Wu-Tang and Biggie Small and his Brooklyn goons.

Raekwon opens up to reveal that he constructed a fake cast to wear to The Source Awards to avoid detection from from a gun that would be secretly hidden in his surgically wrapped hand.

After contemplating his intended actions, the Chef had a change of heart and attend the award show unarmed. Years later the iconic rapper & Wu-Tang front man squashed the beef before Biggie was actually gunned down on the West Coast.
