Mixtape: GOMMI ARCADE x GFCnewyork Present A Brave New World

A Brave New World is the soundtrack for the story of Gommi Arcadian, a citizen of a city-nation called Neo-Tokyo, in the year 2025. Produced by GFCnewyork, it’s a sonic expession of the Gommi Arcade brand. Full of sci-fi film references and futuristic sounds the score is a daring execution of evolved, thought-provoking music featuring a host of bubbling artists such as Mickey Factz, Theophilus London, CurT@!n$, Jade and more. Collectively, it pushes hip-hop forward into the electronic realm, dabbling in rock and R&B as well. The result is an adventurous stream of cinematic sounds made for A Brave New World.

Shouts to Mickey for this. Kind of a weird concept, but GFCnewyork is doing what they do best, putting out dope music and pushing boundaries. With features from Mickey Factz, Theophilus London, CurT@!n$ and more you surely can’t go wrong…

Shouts to CurT for dropping yet ANOTHER joint w/ Gucci Mane (yay… *sarcasm) upon us…

This joint is about 4 or so years old. Originally recorded for my 2nd demo I was shopping back in ‘05. Gucci was working in the room next to me, I stepped to him bout jumping on a record. I played him bout 3 songs and soon as this joint came on he jumped. I already had three verses but I took out one and added him on there. From that same session we ended up doing bout 4 more joints, but this still is my favorite of them all.

Last night The Roots crew did their thing (as always) for The Jam @ Highline Ballroom NYC. Some of the guests that graced the stage included Amanda Diva, Estelle, Skillz, Oddisee, CurT@!n$, Casey Benjamin, Binky (from The Dap Kings), Chuck Treece, and more. I got on stage to film this clip of Black Thought, Oddisee, and CurT@!n$ exchanging verses over the Get Busy beat. Pardon the sound quality, I was a lil’ too close to the speaker via OKP

Spotted this over @ Kanye’s blog, god damn… Behind the scenes of Kanye & the Thorton brothers’ video for Kinda Like a Big Deal shows Kanye, Pusha, CurT@!N$ and a bunch of other dudes checking out the Air Yeezy’s and a bunch of different colorways to Kanye’s Louie sneaker. That low top red joint is baaaad and that all black high top? Fire. I’m gonna go ahead and say there’s probably over a grand worth in shoes right there..
Morph: Steveo must be trippin theres 3 louie colour ways x $1200 + Beige Yeezy is closer to $4000 in shoes my friend but there is only 1 of each. And Where is Lupe getting Jordans that he’s dropping $400 on 4’s?? Ivan Jasper is leading that man astray $400 can get you the 4 +19 but then again he’s probably on some OG colour ways not on this retro shit Steve: Hm, instead of analyzing what I’m saying how about you stop fucking around with those turn tables for once and getting on this blog grind?
