R.I.P. Titus “Baatin” Glover

Damn, it’s just one thing after another… R.I.P. Baatin.

AllHipHop.com has confirmed that Baatin of Slum Village has passed away. While no details are available regarding cause of death, friends of the rapper have already began sending out condolences via Twitter:

“R.I.P. baatin of slum village forever,” wrote singer Dwele on his page.

Rappers have always been quick to put Kanye West on a song. Early on some probably did it as a means to getting one of his beats. Later, maybe ’cause he was a nice guy. Then, obviously, it was because he was a superstar and selling point. But we always secretly thought a part of it was that these rappers, competitive as they are, just didn’t feel threatened by ‘Ye, lyrically. Take Jay-Z, for example, who just threw out Run This Town, the new single off Blueprint 3 featuring none other than Kanye West. Well guess what, Big Homie? Lil bro here fucked around and murdered you on your own shit!

I’m not gonna say I completely agree with ALL of these, but for the most part a guest feature from Kanye is asking for a Renegade… Sidebar: You know I had to use a picture with Morph’s favorite, Amber Rose.

Morph: Those slum village remarks are reckless as F*ck but I would agree with pretty much all of that list minus Ye’ killing Hov on his own shit… um did you hear that 2nd verse
“Please follow the leader so Eric B we are Micophone fiend so it the return the God”
they may need to get off his dick no homo

Site Bulletin: Summer, Summer, Summertime

Drums please! Anyone from Winnipeg knows that when we get weather like we are right now (25+) you need to be enjoying it because once winter comes, our bitch asses will be closed inside the house. I apologize for how much slack there’s been around here and I’m gonna try to clean up the mess that both Morph and I have made by taking our little hiatus’. In between enjoying the weather, Morph’s fucked up work schedule, my entertaining the family that’s flown in from Boston, stopping by the Phase II tattoo shop (shouts to Sean and Brito for having the most Hip Hop friendly (c) shop in Winnipeg) and trying to get my hands on a set of drums, shit has been hectic. Thanks for understanding.

MTV Embracing Slaughterhouse

I wanna shout out my dude Chris over @ Hiptics for pointing this out. The video for Slaughterhouse’s The One has been on the front page of MTV’s site for a minute now and has the highest approval rating out of all the MTV’s Video Picks. I’m proud, won’t front. LOL @ Drake’s 61%, I’ll defend that video any chance I can get.
